Why You Need to Wrap Up Your End of Year

2020 has been a dumpster fire of a year. Small and Local Businesses have been impacted the hardest.

The best way I could think of ending this year was to say goodbye to 2020; but say Hello to 2021. We need to wrap up our year to put the final nail in the coffin of 2020. We need to see what went awry and plan to move forward. We obviously have to for tax purposes; but what about other aspects of the business?

This will be a two part blog. Next week we will walk through the process of writing out our Lessons Learned from 2020. This week let's discuss what you will need to reflect on 2020.

First you will need your numbers. Revenue, sales goals, products that sold well and those which did not (if applicable to you)., and so on. You want the numbers you measure your business by. Have on hand any notes about each month and customer feedback (positive and negative). You will also want any other information you think is important to document for the year.

The year is not over yet. So we need to compile this information and get it ready. The blog on January 6th, 2021 we will cover how to incorporate this information into your Lessons Learned for 2020.
